Welcome. Energy crises are not new; every time a species runs out of an energy source, populations decline to sustainable levels. With booming population growth and dwindling supply of the most powerful energy supply in the history of mankind, our time has come. That sinking feeling that so many of us live with (even through the holidays) might be simply a deeper understanding that what we see around us -- this fairytale culture of consumption you and I have created -- is a system that is burning up all we have left. Alternative fuels and new technology can keep up some of our lifestyle, but all combined can not come close to giving us what oil gives us, meaning a drastic change of lifestyle is unavoidable. Check out some of these select links, and google whatever from there. For every argument, read its counter argument and ala Fox News, you decide! Then talk about it. With your friends, family… you'll have to ruffle feathers, as this is something no one wants to hear. Truth through uncomfortable discussion is essential.
